Storming North America : Texas

Put on your cowboy hats, now is the time!

Welcome to the second largest and most populous state in the United States. Nicknamed « the lone star state » or the state of friendship, it  is bigger than France. It was at the beginning of the 20th century that the first oil well was discovered. Its capital Austin has not always been. Indeed it was Houston at the start, it is the largest city in Texas.

When we say Dallas, what do we think? Of course, this famous series of the same name! Well, if you were a fan of it, at about forty kilometers north of the city, you can go back there by visiting the Southfork ranch! Enjoy …

In Dallas itself you can visit some museums like the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, which retraces the life of former President John F Kennedy. The Dallas Museum of Art is impressive with its collection of nearly 24,000 works of art.

Forth Worth is the historic cowboy district.

The capital is also the world capital of live music with nearly 200 clubs! The Bob Bullock Texas state history museum will allow you to know more about the history of this state.

San Antonio

It’s the most Latin American city. Fort Alamo is a legendary place where tourists throng to visit.

Stroll along the river on the River Walk. The promenade is lined with restaurants offering a rather festive outdoor kitchen and many shops.

Houston, i think we got a problem !

Let’s go to the space conquest! Besides, it is not nicknamed the « space city » for nothing … since it houses the center of NASA. Visit the Space Center Houston.

Of course Houston is not immune to art and culture with a penchant for modern art. The highlights are the contemporary arts museum, Menil collection, Inman Gallery or the Center of contemporary crafts

Next week, I’ll make you discover Dakota from north to south!
