Do you know where the Halloween party comes from?

At the base, Halloween is a folk celebration but especially pagan who is from the Anglo-Celtic islands which is celebrated on October 31st. It’s a little vigil of All Saints (well normally it’s that). For the Celts, Halloween is a kind of New Year’s party.

Today the tradition is that children (but also adults sometimes) dress up with scary costumes such as ghosts, witches, monsters or vampires and go door to door asking for candies with the famous “trick or treat!”.

Unfortunately this celebration has become over the years more commercial than traditional.

Find all the details of this celebration on Wikipedia.
